James W. McConkie
Primary to everything else that I believe, is my belief in Jesus Christ. He IS. He came to earth and He died for my sins and yours, and then He rose again, conquering death.
As part of what He did for us, He suffered the pain of all our sins, our heartaches, our losses - EVERY PAIN OF EVERY SOUL.
And He did it because He loves us, in a way we'll never be able to comprehend in this life. He loves me, you, all the people seeking him, and even all the people who hate and malign Him.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a Christian who believes in Christ and seeks to follow Him.
I am far from perfect, but I believe that I am made perfect in Christ, through His Atonement. I believe that He offers that same opportunity to all people equally.
I believe that God fulfills His purposes, and does His work, through people of all faiths. People who are seeking Him, drawing near to Him, and seeking His will and purposes for their lives. You don't have to be a member of a particular church or denomination to be an instrument in His hands.
I believe that God needs all His people, from every faith, working together in these coming days. More than ever, we need unity in the Body of Christ.
I believe that we don't get to judge who gets saved. That's God's job. Our job is to come unto Christ and bring people with us. To stay centered in Christ and build our lives on His Rock, supporting and helping others in their efforts to do the same.
